Insurance Institute of Nepal organized a 3-day Excursion to Kolkata for Non-Life Professionals Practical Insights into Marine Insurance: From Ports to Policies

Insurance Institute of Nepal (IIN) successfully conducted a 3-day Port Excursion on Marine Insurance in Kolkata, India, from 24th to 26th February, 2025. This significant educational initiative provided participants, composed of non-life insurance practitioners and Nepal Re-insurance Company, who visited Haldia Port. The program was followed by experience sharing session from officials of Haldia Port and the visit concluded with local company visit, National Insurance Company-Kolkata. The excursion was designed to enhance the professional competence of insurance practitioners in Nepal by offering in-depth knowledge of global maritime trade practices.

This initiative by IIN underscores its dedication to equipping Nepalese insurance professionals with global insights and best practices. The excursion not only strengthened participants’ understanding of marine insurance but also fostered cross-border collaboration in the field of insurance education.
