Elevating Professional Excellence through Soft Skills Development in Bardibas

The Insurance Institute of Nepal (IIN) successfully conducted two parallel training programs aimed at enhancing the technical competence and soft skills of professionals in the Nepalese insurance industry. The objective was to enhance both the technical competence and soft skills of professionals across the insurance sector.

On Day 1, technical sessions were conducted in parallel tracks.

  • Life Insurance Track, led by Mr. Ganesh Chaulagain, covered risk analysis, underwriting practices, claims processing, and fraud detection.
  • Non-Life Insurance Track, facilitated by Mr. Prajwol Acharya, focused on marine insurance fundamentals, risk assessment, and global clauses.

Day 2 brought all participants together for a soft skills session conducted by Ms. Pooja Dangol, covering leadership, personal development, communication, and negotiation techniques.

Participants praised the training’s relevance, delivery, and practical value. Suggestions included more case-based exercises and extended coverage of technical topics like fraud detection and marine underwriting. Attendees expressed readiness to apply the learnings to enhance underwriting, claims handling, and leadership within their respective organizations.

The program underscored IIN’s continued commitment to strengthening the professional capacity of Nepal’s insurance industry.
