Inspirational Leadership Using Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) in Karnali Province

The Insurance Institute of Nepal Ltd. (IIN) successfully conducted a two-day leadership development training program on “Inspirational Leadership Using Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)” targeting Provincial and Branch Heads of various insurance companies operating in Karnali Province. The program was held on May 23-24, 2025 (Jestha 9–10) at Stay Hotel Valley View, Surkhet.

Facilitated by Mr. Joseph B. Niraula, a certified NLP trainer, the training focused on inspirational leadership, NLP fundamentals, positive thinking, communication skills, and effective use of personal potential. The sessions combined interactive presentations, group exercises, real-time reflections, and NLP-based tools for a practical and engaging learning experience.

The inaugural session was addressed by Mr. Nil Prasad Lamichhane, Province Head and Deputy Director of the Nepal Insurance Authority, Surkhet. In his remarks, he highlighted the significance of such training programs in strengthening provincial insurance capacity, and he encouraged the continuation of regional and decentralized learning initiatives.

At the closing session, Mr. Ganesh Sharma, Assistant Manager at IIN, reaffirmed the Institute’s commitment to delivering structured and need-based training programs that support long-term sectoral development.

Speaking on behalf of the participants, Mr. Umakanta Joshi from National Life Insurance expressed appreciation for the program’s impactful content and the practical tools shared during the sessions.

The training witnessed active participation from representatives of life, non-life, and microinsurance companies, along with officials from the Nepal Insurance Authority. The diversity and engagement of participants further reinforced IIN’s pivotal role in promoting leadership development and professional excellence across Nepal’s insurance industry.
