Insurance Surveyor Training Program 2082 in Bagmati Province
In a bold stride toward strengthening technical expertise in Nepal’s insurance sector, the Insurance Institute of Nepal Ltd. (IIN), with the recognition of the Nepal Insurance Authority, successfully executed a comprehensive one-month insurance surveyor training program from June 15 to July 15, 2025 (Ashadh 1–31, 2082).
Over 562 selected participants from across the country were trained under four core insurance portfolios—Motor, Home/Property/Engineering/Business, Marine, and Aviation—through 19 batches of intensive, skill-based sessions. Each batch underwent a three-day training, delivered by seasoned industry experts, ensuring deep practical exposure aligned with regulatory standards.
The program officially commenced with a grand inaugural ceremony, graced by the presence of Mr. Sharad Ojha, Chairman of the Nepal Insurance Authority. The event was chaired by Mr. Susil Dev Subedi, Chairman of IIN, and Dr. Laxmi Kanta Paudel, CEO of IIN, highlighted on t the critical role of well trained surveyor in building a trustworthy and resilient insurance ecosystem in Nepal.
The closing ceremony, held on July 15, 2025, marked the successful culmination of this impactful initiative. Training certificates were awarded to all participants, with encouraging remarks for their professional journey ahead. The program not only fulfilled a regulatory milestone but also showcased IIN’s commitment on uplifting industry standards and nurturing future surveyor leaders.
This nation-wide initiative reflects IIN’s vision to bridge the gap between regulation and field practice, empowering surveyors to operate with confidence, compliance, and credibility.
