Property Insurance Training for Non-Life Professionals

The Insurance Institute of Nepal Ltd. (IIN) also organized a two-day training program for non-life insurance professionals on 2082/11/08–09 at Hotel Sitasharan, Janakpur, Madhesh Province. The training was coordinated by Mr. Ganesh Sharma and attended by 10 participants.

The program, facilitated by Mr. Deepak Kumar Dhoot, focused on Property Insurance and aimed to enhance practical skills required in non-life operations.

On the first day, participants reviewed the foundations of insurance, core concepts of property insurance, different product structures, and effective customer handling and sales processes. The discussions were interactive and allowed participants to share field-level experiences.

The second day covered underwriting and pricing fundamentals, policy issuance procedures, documentation control, claims handling processes, and operational efficiency. The sessions emphasized practical application and real operational challenges faced by non-life insurers.

The training concluded successfully, with participants expressing that the program was relevant and helpful in strengthening their day-to-day professional responsibilities.
